Our Story
Econew was founded in 2016 in response to the growing demand for sustainable bioproducts in a global landscape seeking lower-impact alternatives. We identified a gap in the market and, driven by the vision of a more responsible future, transformed a promising project into a full industrial operation in just two years.
Located in northern Minas Gerais, Brazil, our state-of-the-art facility was built using recycled containers, has solar powered lighting, and features equipment from leading global manufacturers. With advanced production technologies, we maintain full control over product quality and specifications.
In addition to international certifications, such as FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) under license code FSC® C138948, we have expanded our portfolio with new bioproducts that strengthen our environmental contribution.
Today, we combine traditional, sustainably sourced solutions—such as our hardwood charcoal briquettes—with climate-positive products, including biochar intended for certified carbon-sequestration applications. This evolution reflects our commitment to supporting decarbonization and driving more circular industrial models.
